Afamefuna Inc. is a Chicago based 501c3 dedicated to bridging West African and African American experiences, through Igbo art, creativity, academics, food, music and culture.

OUR MISSION

 

Our mission is to help humanity foster rootedness and connection to our collective African Heritage. Through a variety of carefully curated programming, we harness the power of design, dialogue, and academic research as transformative agents to stimulate, reactivate, elevate, and reimagine black culture

Protecting and preserving Igbo culture, history and indigenous practices

Supporting the Reclamation of African Heritage through performance and cultural events
